The Bike Project

Church Pharmacy is proud to support The Bike Project - a charity that takes in secondhand bikes, refurbishes them and donates them to refugees and asylum seekers in the UK.

We recently helped local community members donate five bikes to a local drop-off point in Ashby, run by Simon and Anita, and will continue to support wherever possible by collecting and dropping off bikes for those who want to donate, but aren't able to access the drop-off point themselves.

A bike helps refugees access food banks, legal advice, healthcare, education and much more. If they're lucky enough to receive official refugee status, a bike can help them find employment.
