Church Pharmacy donates to Give A Gift

Church Pharmacy has donated £5,000 to Give A Gift, a Leeds-based charity whose mission is to improve the wellbeing and quality of life of people living in disadvantaged communities, and to maximise their potential through targeted support and provision.

Complementing its existing community food hub service, our donation will help ensure Give A Gift can meet the cultural food needs of its clients during the month of Ramadan through the provision of regular food parcels, vouchers for clients to buy fresh produce, and the delivery of 200 hot meals to asylum seekers living in hotels who cannot afford culturally appropriate food.

Give a Gift also works directly with refugee and asylum-seeking communities to act as a conduit between statutory authorities, refugee agencies and their clients. Our additional donation of laptops and mobile phones will support several clients to access these essential services online, and additionally, provide a reliable way for them to contact family members.
