Have you had your flu vaccine yet?

You will be pleased to know we are now able to provide the NHS flu vaccination service at our pharmacy site in Loughborough. The flu vaccine is a pivotal instrument in helping to protect those at risk of flu and its complications.

Please be assured we are practicing hand washing as well as wearing personal protective equipment and adopting social distancing measures where feasible to make sure it is safe for you to have the flu vaccine.

    The flu vaccine will help to protect you and your baby from flu, if you are pregnant.

    If you do get flu after being vaccinated, the symptoms are likely to be milder and shorter.

Are you eligible for the free flu vaccine?

  • Are 65 and over (including those who will be 65 by 31st March 2023)
  • Have certain health conditions, including but not limited to:
    • Respiratory e.g. asthma, COPD, including emphysema and bronchitis.
    • Diabetes
    • Heart e.g. coronary heart disease or heart failure
    • Chronic kidney disease
    • Liver disease e.g. hepatitis
    • A weakened immune system
    • Are pregnant
    • Are in long-stay residential care
You are also eligible if you are:
  • The main carer for an older or disabled person who may be at risk from flu
  • Living with someone who has a weakened immune system.
  • Frontline health or social care workers*

Cost: Free for all eligible patients.

Non-eligible patients can still access the Flu vaccine for £16.99
