Give Back Friday - Friday 24th November 2023

Building on the success of last year's transformative Give Back Friday initiative, where Church Pharmacy redefined Black Friday with a purpose, they once again extended their hands to the incredible community of our customers to make a meaningful impact.

On Friday 24th November, every customer order placed became a beacon of hope as Church Pharmacy committed to donating an Essentials hamper to local and national food banks.

Thanks to your unwavering support, this year's campaign allowed Church Pharmacy to deliver a total of 200 hampers to those grappling with food insecurity during the challenging winter months. The carefully curated contents of each hamper were thoughtfully chosen based on the essential items that food banks require the most, encompassing fundamental staples such as pasta, tinned goods, and an array of hygiene products. The estimated value of each Essentials hamper was approximately £20.

With record numbers of people across the country already forced to turn to food banks, and food banks themselves stretched to breaking point, Church Pharmacy thank you for your amazing response and continued support; this could not have been done this without you!

For those of you who asked Church Pharmacy to donate to a food bank on your behalf, your nominated Essentials hampers were donated to one of the following food banks or charities:

  • PACE
  • Loughborough Area Foodbank
  • John Storer Charnwoood
  • Shepshed Foodbank
  • Coalville Foodbank

Additionally, Church Pharmacy extend our heartfelt thanks to the dedicated food bank managers who play a pivotal role in our communities. Their positive feedback reinforces the profound impact of your contributions and the difference it makes in the lives of those facing adversity during the holiday season.

"Thank you so much for your very kind donation. It will go a long way to helping those struggling at this time of year. We have noticed an increase in recent weeks of those needing food and your kind donation will help them and their families to have a happier Christmas. Thanks again and have a lovely Christmas!"
(Mandy Smith, Loughborough Area Food Bank)

"Please pass on a very big Thank You to everyone at Church Pharmacy for your fantastic donation. It is really heartwarming to know that there are so many people out there who are thinking of us. Thank you so much!"
(Steph Smith, Shepshed Foodbank
