Acute Bacterial Conjunctivitis Service
Suffering from red, gritty or itchy eyes? It could be conjunctivitis...
Patient eligibility:
- Children aged 3 months up to 2 years where symptoms have worsened within 3 days of onset, or
- Moderate to severe infections where the symptoms are serve and/or distressing, or severe.
- The cost will be free as it'd for children who do not pay a prescription charge.
Cost: Free for all consultations.
Where antibiotics are supplied by the pharmacist, the NHS prescription charge for patients who usually pay for their prescriptions will be charged, and free for those who are exempt from prescription charges.
